What it is

Values Clarification is an ACT technique for defining chosen life directions (distinct from goals) that provide meaning and guidance for action.

Why it works

Goals are outcomes to achieve and check off; values are ongoing qualities of action (how you want to show up in the world). Clarifying values turns mundane tasks into meaningful steps:
