Terms of Service

Welcome to Camic Health. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Camic Health website, application, and related services (collectively, the "Service"), built and operated by Joel Sandén ("we", "us", or "our") based in Sweden (EU).

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service. If you have any questions, email joel@camic.app.

Important Disclaimer: Not Clinical Care or Emergency Service

Camic Health is self-guided reflection and educational tooling, NOT clinical therapy, medical advice, psychiatric assessment, or healthcare.

• Using Camic Health does not establish a doctor-patient, therapist-client, or healthcare provider relationship.
• The Service is not intended to evaluate, diagnose, treat, or prevent any medical or mental health condition.
• Crisis Warning: If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, acute distress, thoughts of self-harm, or severe crisis, DO NOT rely on this app. Please immediately call your local emergency service (e.g., 911 in the US/Canada, 112 in Europe, 999 in the UK) or contact a crisis helpline such as the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (US) or your local hotline.

Account & Eligibility

Eligibility. You must be at least 18 years old (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account or subscribe to paid features. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

Account Creation. Accounts are created by signing in via an email magic link or social login. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your sign-in credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact joel@camic.app immediately.

Service Tiers & Usage Conditions

Camic Health offers both free and paid plans governed by monthly AI credit allowances:

1. In-App Web Application & AI Features

• Every signed-up account has access to the full web application, including interactive in-app AI chat, AI-generated insights (themes, effectiveness, patterns), narrative progress reports, personal check-in tag suggestions, and email notifications.
• Access to AI features running on our servers is subject to your plan's monthly AI credit allowance.

2. Optional External Integrations (MCP Connector)

• Technique library tools, check-ins, and session recaps can also be accessed via Model Context Protocol (MCP) clients (such as Anthropic's Claude).
• If using an external client like Claude, your use of that client is governed by the respective third party's Terms of Service (e.g., Anthropic's Terms of Service), while your use of Camic Health's tools and backend remains governed by these Terms.

Subscriptions, Credits & Billing

Subscriptions & Flat-Rate Billing. Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring monthly or annual basis via Stripe. Subscribing grants an increased monthly AI credit allowance. Payments are non-refundable except where required by law.

Credit Allowances.

• AI feature usage is metered against your monthly credit allowance.
• Once your monthly credit allowance is exhausted, AI features running on our servers will pause until your next monthly billing cycle resets your credits, or until you upgrade to a tier with a higher credit allowance.
• There are no un-capped or surprise overage charges.

Cancellations. You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or Stripe customer portal. Upon cancellation, your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period, after which it will revert to the free tier.

Acceptable Use & Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.
• Submit content or prompt inputs that contain unlawful, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or harmful material.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, compromise, or disrupt the Service's software, infrastructure, security, or API tools.
• Use automated scripts, scrapers, or bots to extract data from the Service without express written permission.
• Misrepresent your identity or impersonate any person or entity.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you breach any acceptable use rules.

Intellectual Property

Our Property. All rights, title, and interest in and to the Service (including the app interface, technique library content, logos, branding, code, and design system) are and will remain the exclusive property of Joel Sandén and our licensors.

Your Data & Reflections. You retain ownership of any notes, check-in ratings, goals, and session inputs you submit to the Service. By submitting data, you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, and display that data solely to operate and provide the Service to you in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

AI Outputs. AI-generated insights, summaries, and chat responses are generated for your personal reflection and reference.

Warranty Disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ACCURACY OF REFLECTION OUTPUTS.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL JOEL SANDÉN, Camic Health, OR ITS SUPPLIERS OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE) THE SERVICE.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE EXCEED THE GREATER OF $50 USD OR THE TOTAL AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO Camic Health IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

Changes to the Service or Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If a revision meaningfully alters your rights or obligations, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms and any disputes arising out of or related to them or the Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sweden (EU), without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding shall be brought exclusively in the courts of Sweden.
